The Purple Inc. team has been busy this summer! We joined the Mayor-a-thon, gettin’ our sweat on with Zumba, a bike ride on the coastal path, and Keri won 2nd place in the best decorated bike contest, her ride decked out with ti leaves and flowers. Samantha, our Wellness Wahine even won the hula hoop contest.
On the same day, we also joined Surfrider Foundation for a beach clean-up at Kealia beach in honor of International Surfing Day. Sheri and Barbara from the Kaua’i Chapter of Surfrider had a booth set up with trash bags, gloves, and lots of information on the many ways to help the ocean remain a pristine habitat for all. Bubba Burgers, Java Kai and Starbucks donated food and drinks, and the Purple Inc. team won a prize for the biggest item found: a giant tire, that we rolled down the bike path to join it with the other heaps of trash all the volunteers found that day.
